To the Editor.— Having read Dr. Shapiro's article on "Infantile Digital Fibromatosis and Aponeurotic Fibroma" (Arch Derm99:37-42 [Jan] 1969), I would like to report an additional patient and comment briefly on what I think was a significant event following biopsy of the lesion. Report of a Case.— The patient was a 9-month-old girl with the history of a slowly growing asymptomatic lesion on the small finger of the left hand for three months. Examination showed a 6 mm × 8 mm reddish-brown domeshaped papule on the dorsal aspect of the distal left small finger (Figure). X-ray films of the lesion showed no bone involvement. A biopsy was performed. The clinical and histologic findings were compatible with a diagnosis of infantile digital fibroma.
