Abstract
Setting up a Global Positioning System (GPS) network presents a number of practical problems in terms of techniques, equipment, fieldcraft, logistics, organization, politics, and funding. These issues are just as important to address as the more purely scientific aspects of GPS research.The National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored a 1‐day workshop in San Francisco on December 3, 1989, the first ever to focus on the practical side of organizing and managing GPS campaigns and networks.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
