Abstract
A thermal Reynolds’ equation is developed for a lubricant with an exponential viscosity-temperature variation. The equation is used to analyze the film formation process in liquid lubricated plane strain forging. The effects of temperature and pressure induced viscosity changes on the film formation process are described.Keywords
