Abstract
The most recent study regarding the education and use of allied health personnel comes from the Ad Hoc Committee on Allied Health Personnel* of the National Academy of Sciences. The report of this study very properly calls attention to the need for such personnel, educated and trained to assist physicians and nurses in the care of patients. The report, only 25 pages in length, including three appendixes and 35 very pertinent references, constitutes a succinct and surprisingly comprehensive justification for its title, "Allied Health Personnel," and it should enjoy a far wider readership than it will probably receive. The main . . .Keywords
