RADIATION TREATMENT OF CARCINOMA OF THE NASAL VESTIBULE

Abstract
Squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal vestibule is controlled in a high percentage of cases by various modalities of radiation therapy. Of 22 patients treated by irradiation, local control was obtained in 19 patients, with 1 of 3 recurrences salvaged by surgery. Cervical lymph node metastases were successfully treated in 3 patients, whose primary lesions were controlled. Only 1 patient whose primary lesion was controlled had a major complication.
