Abstract
CP-violation effects in partial-decay-rate asymmetries of and systems are examined within the framework of the Kobayashi-Maskawa model. We concentrate on those hadronic final states into which both and B¯ can decay. The rephasing-invariant formalism is used in our calculation. We find a quite large asymmetry (∼0.6) in some decay modes, such as → , → , φ, etc., but we still need – bb¯ pairs for testing these effects for 3σ signature. In addition, the contribution of the penguin diagrams and the problem of strong-interaction phases of final states are also briefly discussed. We find that for testing CP violations with only the penguin contribution the best decays are →φ, →φ, which need, for 3σ signature, 3× bb¯ pairs.
