Abstract
This study considers the effect of modeling errors upon the real-time calculation of the bus voltages (or static state) of an electric power system. A criterion for evaluating the sensitivity of weighted least squares state estimation is developed, and the method is applied to a simulated model of an actual transmission system. The mathematical aspects of the analysis are discussed, and the experimental results indicate the effects of errors in several types of system parameters. Keywords
