Abstract
The indexed literature concerning a relationship between the nose and the genital organs was reviewed by me following a request that I write a chapter on the nasogenital relationship for a new textbook of obstetrics. Prior to the review of the literature I was aware of a relationship in a general way but was not cognizant of the number of laboratory experiments which had been done in this field. It was felt that a similar absence of recognition and appreciation might exist with some other otolaryngologists. Realizing that the accumulation of the various pieces of literature and their perusal and abstraction require a considerable amount of time-consuming effort and that every one is not able to give the required time, I decided to present a summation of the literature in the form of a paper for publication.
