Abstract
A systematic and statistical review of 90Sr data obtained from 2538 samples analyzed in duplicate over a 4-year period is presented for three types of samples analyzed by a 85Sr internal tracer technique. The procedure provides a high degree of accuracy and selectivity for 90Sr. The routine sensitivity of this method is 0.0 ± 0.7 dpm/sample aliquot at the 95 per cent confidence level. The agreement between duplicate aliquots was excellent for milk and vegetation samples. For soil, some procedure error in excess of counting error was indicated, but the magnitude of this error was generally less than 10 per cent.
