Nutrition Screening among Rural Older Persons

Abstract
Malnutrition spans the full spectrum from protein-energy deficit to obesity, both of which are health concerns for older persons. Such nutritional deficiencies or imbalances can adversely impact health, quality of life, morbidity, mortality, and associated health care utilization. With older persons living longer and increasing in absolute numbers, it can be anticipated that demands for health care services will challenge us to revise our current approach to health care.
