Dynamics of matter solitons in weakly modulated optical lattices
Abstract
We demonstrate a possibility of management of matter solitons in Bose-Einstein condensates by means of smooth modulations of optical lattices. In particular, we discuss effects of acceleration and oscillations in linearly and parabolically modulated lattices, as well as interaction of matter solitons with localized lattice defects.Keywords
