Abstract
A new concept of ion beam target is proposed. Ion beam energy was injected inside a solid gold shell. Energy of the radiation converted from the beam was confined and transported inside. This effect was called the Mahobin effect. If the Mahobin target is compared with a direct driven target, several advantages such as power amplification, brightness reduction and higher gain can be expected. Total implosion effciency was estimated to be more than 10%.Keywords
