Tumor and vascular disease each accounted for one-third of cases of focal seizures evolving after the age of 14 years. In differentiating between tumor and vascular disease, the history, symptomatology, or physical findings were of little value. Of the ancillary studies, carotid angiography was the most definitive procedure.
