Abstract
Saturation magnetization (Ms), Curie temperature (Tc) and easy direction of magnetization have been measured on Yb2Co17-xFex, Er2Co17-xMx(M = Fe, Mn, Ni), Nd2Co17-xAlxand Sm2Co17-xAlxcompounds. The Tcand Msvary in a similar manner for all the compounds investigated. Anisotropy field variation also shows a similar trend. It is proposed that the observed variations can be used as a guide for future experiments on the substituted R2Co17compounds.Keywords
