Kontrastmittelveränderungen am Genitale und an der Rattenleber nach Endografin

Abstract
Das Endografin ist u. E. das derzeit beste Kontrastmittel für die Zervikohysterosalpingographie, doch treten infolge der relativ hohen Kontrastmittelkonzentration regelmäßig vorübergehende Entzündungsreaktionen am Genitale auf. Da im Tierversuch zusätzliche Leberschäden, wenn auch durch relativ hohe Kontrastmitteldosen, beobachtet wurden, ist es ratsam, die Indikation zur Salpingographie weiterhin zurückhaltend und an das Ende der Sterilitätsberatung zu stellen, mit der kleinstmöglichen Kontrastmitteldosis auszukommen und bei schwereren Leberschäden vorsichtig zu sein. Although the authors have found “Endografin” (sodium salt of iodipamide methylglucamine; “Biligrafin”) to be the best of the various contrast media for use in the radiological study of the female genital tract, they have also noted transitory local inflammatory reactions as a result of the relatively high concentration used (70%). In experiments on rats they also found liver damage on intraperitoneal injection of 4 ml./Kg. of rat body weight. They therefore suggest that the indications for salpingography with contrast media should be more rigedly defined, the procedure should be performed in sterility cases only after other methods have failed to give the answer, and the lowest possible amount of material should be injected. Special caution is advised in patients with severe liver damage. Modificaciones por medios de contraste (tras Endografin) en los genitales e hígado de la rata El Endografin es actualmente a nuestro parecer, el mejor medio de contraste para la cérvico-histero-salpingografía; sin embargo, aparecen regularmente reacciones inflamatorias transitorias en los genitales a consecuencia de la elevada concentración del medio de contraste. Como que en la experimentación animal se observaron además lesiones hepáticas, si bien con dosis de contraste relativamente elevadas, es aconsejable reservar la indicación de la salpingografía, utilizarla sólo al final en la cuestión de la esterilidad, emplear la menor cantidad posible de contraste y tener cuidado en las hepatopatías graves.
