Partial Transposition of the Latissimus Dorsi

Abstract
In two severely paralyzed upper limbs, elbow flexion in one and both elbow and finger flexion in the other were restored by transfer of the upper portion of the latissimus dorsi to the arm. Keeping the neurovascular pedicle and the tendon attachment intact, the origin of the muscle was transposed through a subcutaneous tunnel to the biceps tendon in one patient and to the flexor profundus tendons in the other.
