Abstract
“Human nature becomes human only in a social context;” the author maintains, “the context shapes its form.” Dr, Eisenberg is professor of child psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and editor of the American Journal of Orthopsychiatry. His article is based upon an address to a symposium, “Can Human Nature be Changed?” on the fiftieth anniversary of the Waiden School (April 1964).
