On the solar neutrino spectrum from the decay 8B(e+ν)8*Be(α)4He

Abstract
The neutrino spectrum from the decay 8B(e+ν)8*Be(α)4He is calculated taking into account the transitions to the 2.9, 16.62, and 16.92 MeV levels of 8Be and the natural widths of the levels as well. The mean absorption cross sections for 8B neutrinos for some solar neutrino detectors are evaluated. Because of the uncertainty in the shape of the experimental α spectrum the 8B-neutrino absorption cross sections cannot be calculated to better than 5%.Keywords
