Abstract
We comment on the calculation of energy transfer in solids, showing that the calculation can be done to infinite order in the phonon‐impurity interaction using the small‐polaron transformation. When the final result is expanded, the results of low order perturbation theory are recovered, and, in addition, new terms are found which are due to cross products. Keywords
