Abstract
A strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, isolated from the sputum of a patient on the 96th day of streptomycin therapy, was found to grow better in the presence of streptomycin. Growth was abundant in a liquid medium containing 1, 10 or 100 [mu]g./g. of streptomycin, but was less at a concn. of 1000 [mu]g., although greater than in the absence of the drug. A similar strain was isolated 4 mos. later. Keywords
