Abstract
The Fourier-transform microwave spectra of the furan · ethene complex and five deuteriated isotopomers have been recorded. The dimer is T-shaped. It has an ab plane of symmetry with the ethene in this plane and furan perpendicular to it. Two cis hydrogens of ethene lie closest to the furan ring, nearly straddling the oxygen atom. The ethene carbon–carbon bond is tipped about 11° from parallel with the furan ring towards the oxygen. The centre-of-mass distance, Rcm, is 3.80 Å.Keywords
