Abstract
Two receptors for IgE, having apparent molecular weights of 55,000 and 45,000 daltons were isolated from rat basophilic leukaemia cells by means of IgE-Sepharose. Both molecules were bound by concanavalin A, wheat germ agglutinin and Ricinus communis agglutinin (castor bean lectin). The lectins of pea and gorse origin only bound the 45,000 dalton receptor.Keywords
