Abstract
Extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) measurements have been made on the zirconium K absorption edge in amorphous NixZr1-xalloys withx=0.33, 0.50 and 0.67. The aim of this study is to understand the local structure vs composition in this system. It has been revealed as follows: (a) the bond length are 2.57 Å for the Zr-Ni pair and remain constant over the whole concentration range; (b) the second peak of the radial structure function consists of two component atoms, zirconium atom and nickel atom. Keywords
