Suppression of Heliothis Populations with Glabrous Cotton Strains12

Abstract
During 5 consecutive years of evaluating glabrous cotton strains in replicated field tests, oviposition of Heliothis spp. was reduced from 36% in 1966 to 80% in 1969. This reduced oviposition resulted in significantly fewer larvae and damaged fruiting forms. Glabrous cottons might therefore be used in conjunction with other methods of control.
