Abstract
Visual evoked potentials were recorded from a variety of sites in the mesencephalon and diencephalon of man with the exception of the lateral geniculate bodies. Responses were recorded from the tegmentum, tectum, and ventromedial thalamus (medial pulvinar). Areas from which responses were obtained were contiguous. A variety of sensory, motor and autonomic responses have been obtained when these same areas have been stimulated. Keywords
