Abstract
Exptl. detn. shows that the cercaria is biocellate and lacks a stylet; body and tail have delicate setae symmetrically arranged. The sp. develops in simple rediae in the digestive gland of Pleurocera acuta, encysts in bivalve mollusks, and develops to the adult in the intestine of catfish. The miracidia of A. ictaluri and Crepidostomum ictaluri are compared and a discussion of the systematics of the Allocreadiidae is given.
