Abstract
This paper describes a series of tests made to determine the dielectric losses in various kinds of 13,000-volt cable. These losses were found to increase greatly with the temperature and thus become an important factor in the rating of such cables. A method is developed whereby the influence of these losses on the rating can be approximately calculated for duct lines with uniformly loaded cables. Keywords
