Abstract

We present evidence from the CLEO detector for the charmed strange baryon

Ξ_{c}^{0}

. It is seen in nonresonant

e^{+} e^{-}

annihilations at

\sqrt{s}

of 10.5 GeV through its decay to

Ξ^{-} π^{+}

. The measured

Ξ_{c}^{0}

mass is 2471 ± 3 ± 4 MeV/

c^{2}

.
