Abstract
A 5 GHz to 20 GHz bit-rate flexible all-optical clock is presented. 10 GHz and 20 GHz pulse trace analysis and 8 Gbit/s to 11 Gbit/s bit-error-rate measurements demonstrate the system qualification. The applied self-pulsating distributed feedback laser is compact, integratable, and requires no RF electronics. Keywords
