Abstract
Absolute pitch is the ability of an individual to name correctly a particular tone without comparing it to any other heard tone. Review of exptl. studies show that many individuals can acquire absolute pitch. Pitch discrimination can be acquired readily in early age. Absolute pitch is not an inherent faculty or quality. Keywords
