The Effect of Hypnosis on Academic Performance

Abstract
23 experimental Ss were given two hypnotic sessions and taught a method of concentration in auto-hypnosis. Their long term academic performance was then compared with that of 27 control Ss. Results indicated that hypnosis was not beneficial to the experimental group and produced no improvements in Q.P.A., class rank, or motivation to study as compared with the control group.
