Abstract
Hexokinases of Drosophila melanogaster were investigated by starchgel electrophoresis. A hexokinase is present in both sexes during earlier stages of development, but it persists only in male adults. In addition, in this species there is a testis-specific hexokinase which is first observed during the pupal period. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
