The influence of elastic anisotropy on spin-lattice relaxation calculations

Abstract
The effects of elastic anisotropy on calculations of the direct process spin-lattice relaxation time for ions in cubic lattices are derived analytically. The results are shown to be in good agreement with numerical solutions for particular examples of cubic crystals.Keywords
