Abstract
The degree of loss of estrone during the perfusion of a number of organs (muscle, liver, testicle and ovary) with a perfusate composed of blood and White''s soln. containing estrone was studied. Comparison of the extent of conversion with that found in control expts. employing the medium alone shows that the primary determinant of the extent of conversion is the perfusing medium. Evidence has also been presented to show that the perfused ovary is capable of storing estrone. Keywords
