Abstract
Coupled-channel calculations are described for the interaction between a neutron and . Emphasis is placed on the incident-energy region between 0 and 5 MeV, although the bound states are also calculated. Precise fits to total, elastic differential, and polarization cross sections are obtained. Comparisons with other treatments of the system are made, and the differences are discussed, in particular the meaning of the weak-coupling approximation. Deficiencies in the present method of calculation are also discussed.
