Abstract
Low gastrojejunostomies (stoma 1-3 cm. from the pyloric ring) produced a 78% increase in the avg. free HC1 output from a Heidenhain pouch; the high gastrojejunostomies (15-18 cm. from the pyloric ring) gave a 126% increase in Heidenhain pouch HC1 output; medium gastrojejunostomies (6-7 cm. from the pyloric ring) had a 100% increase in free HC1 secreted by the Heidenhain pouch. The possible responsible factors are discussed. Keywords
