Abstract
An optimization study has been performed for the derivation of magnetooptical parameters Q1 and Q2 from experimental measurements of the transverse Kerr effect. It is shown that for data in the range experimentally observed in the ultraviolet and visible region, (1121Q2 may be determined to better than +or-10% only for angles of incidence within the ranges 60 degrees -65 degrees and 83 degrees -85 degrees .Keywords
