Abstract
A detailed analysis was made of 62 ecgs. on 30 normal laboratory dogs and of 10 serial tracings over a period of 5 months on 3 dogs. The dogs were trained, unanesthetized, and in the supine position. Standard limb leads and augmented unipolar extremity leads were taken. A table of ecg. standards for the normal dog is presented. Analysis of the data indicates a variation within the same animal not significantly different from that obtaining among different animals. It is recommended that to establish the normal ecg. of a dog a mean of 3 tracings taken at different times be used. Keywords
