Abstract
Summary A case of leiomyosarcoma of the transverse colon in a 73-year-old woman is reported. The patient survived resection for 14 years and died in advanced senility at the age of 90 years without evidence of recurrence. Some of the data pertaining to the 29 reported cases reveal little factual information about the end-results of surgical management of this colonic growth. Resection continues to be the proper treatment. Keywords
