Abstract
Ca and P retention in rats was decreased by excessive doses of irradiated ergosterol. There was a definite shift in the excreted Ca from the feces to the urine. The fecal content of both Ca and P decreased when on & low food intake. The author suggests that the deposits of Ca found in certain tissues as a result of large doses of irradiated ergosterol could not be accounted for on the grounds of increased absorption and retention. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
