Abstract
Summary: Immunity against polyvinyl pyrrolidone in mice was demonstrated by serologic methods and by the immune elimination technique. Preparations with molecular weights of 24,000, 40,000 and 360,000 were immunogenic. The serologic reactions could be inhibited by the non-immunogenic monomer and by a non-immunogenic preparation with a molecular weight of 10,000. Immunologic paralysis could be easily obtained in adult mice. Dose ranges for the induction of immunity and paralysis are described. Keywords
