Abstract
Spectral and polarization characteristics of radiation from a relativistic electron travelling along a deformed helix constrained on a surface of an elliptic cylindroid are theoretically investigated. The present theory shows that the radiation has quasi-circular (elliptical) polarization with higher harmonics. It also gives the general expressions for the radiated electric field which contains both helical and plane undulator radiations as special cases. Keywords
