Abstract
The dispersion characteristics of shielded microstrip lines are derived using a new method that yields highly accurate results from a 2 x 2 determinantal equation. Aside from numerical efficiency, the simple form of the equation allows one to easily locate the presence of higher order modes that have not been discussed elsewhere. Keywords
