Abstract
The mean L-thyroxine secretion rate (TSR) of 20 moles was 1.96 ug/l00g BW/day at 78" F. The mole has a higher TSR than mice of the Swiss-Webster strain. Considering the surface to volume ratio of these animals, the mouse would be expected to have the greater TSR. The mole TSR increased when the animal was exposed to cold temperature. Keywords
