The theory is considered that disseminated sclerosis may be caused by an organism spread by water and perhaps by rats, and is related to a study of the occupations of 688 persons dying of disseminated sclerosis in England in 1925, and of death rates in different counties; to the geographical distribution in America, and to a clinical study of 72 patients and controls.
