Abstract
α1-Fetoprotein (AFP) was demonstrated by the immunofluorescent antibody staining technique in 1 primary and 3 transplantable yolk sac carcinomas of rats. AFP was observed only in structures with a characteristic endodermal appearance. This protein was not detected in embryonal carcinoma cells. Keywords
