Abstract
A review of procedures for analysis of volatile substances of toxicological importance in biological samples is presented. The problems of screening unknown samples for a wide spectrum of volatile substances are discussed, and methods are described for the collection of samples and analysis of up to forty-two substances. The optimal procedure for comprehensive volatile screening utilized direct elution from blood onto Tenax-GC with gas chromatographic analysis on 60/80 Carbopack B/5% Carbowax 20M.This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
