Abstract
Long-wavelength thermal fluctuations in a fluid with a linear shear are investigated. Certain equal-time correlations are found to have a long-range part. The dynamic structure factor is modified in such a way that the Landau-Plazcek ratio no longer holds. A light-scattering experiment is proposed to test some of these results. Keywords
