Abstract
Approximate formulae are derived for the dielectric constants of composite materials consisting of fibre-like inclusions embedded in an isotropic continuous matrix. Both the axially symmetric and isotropic cases are treated. It is suggested that the results may be useful for fibre, whisker or polymer composites. Likely geometries for which the formulae may be valid are discussed. Keywords
