Abstract
A convenient direct-search method for determining spin Hamiltonian parameters is described for the S=1 or 3/2 types of the spin Hamiltonian \mathscrH=β(g X H X S X +g Y H Y S Y +g Z H Z S Z )+D[S Z 2-S(S+1)/3]+E(S X 2-S Y 2). To find the Eulerian angles, by which the principal axis system is related to the crystallographic axis system, a two-circle ESR goniometer with a Wulff's net mounted on the projection plate is used. The ESR analysis of KH2PO4:Cr3+ is detailed as an example. Keywords
